This post is all about my keynote at the 4th J-CLIL CHUGOKU Chapter Conference in Okayama

  • Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025
  • Time: 13:00–17:00
  • Venue: TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Okayama Station, Meeting Room 04

Abstract: Authenticity is a core principle of CLIL methodologies, yet it takes many forms. During a single lesson, teachers make hundreds, if not thousands, of split-second decisions that shape the learning experience. Developing an intuitive grasp of best practices can ease cognitive load and foster more natural, personally authentic interactions. In this talk, I will explore how teacher research and classroom-based empirical methods can help educators and trainers build the tacit knowledge needed to deliver educational best-practices and enhance CLIL instruction. This practical session will include demonstrations of real teaching materials and methods, offering hands-on insights for immediate application.
